Perfect! That's exactly what I was looking for. Much smoother disconnecting from the A.TRIM / Autopilot modes now.

Regarding the temporary override in A.TRIM mode I was suggesting an alternative logic, additional to what is there at the moment:

If the stick is centered when force trim is pressed, the aircraft can be manouvered to a new attitude as is possible currently.
If the stick is deflected when force trim is pressed, hold the current attitude and allow the physical stick to be centred before releasing the force trim button.

Basically detect the joystick "state" at the point of pressing the button to allow both temporary override and permanent attitude chance.
