Hi Rotorsim
I applaude the wait to get this right before release.
But compared to the XP11 verison.... I'm feel like I'm out of control in the air!
Usually in XP11, I disengage the AP, and I'm quite happy. But in XP12. I feel like the AP is still engaged.
I'm happily flying around but end up moving my cyclic to the fully forward, and the 135 is still titling up,
In these situations I say maybe I'm pulling to hard on the collective or vice versa., but this has no effect.

I try the force trim button. But even depresed when I move the cyclic the 135 tilts with my cyclic movement as I try to re-centre - like I'm not pressing it.

I'm not a pilot IRL. But this is not the experience I had in XP11 :(
Tell me I'm doing something wrong!?

What you describe fits very well with an engaged autopilot. Is AP really off? Check the following:
  • Is the OFF lamp in the AP button of the AFCS Control Panel lit?
  • Is there an AUTOPILOT caution in CAD while the collective is raised?
  • If you have a digital cockpit, does the PFD say OFF twice at the top?
If not, the autopilot is on!

After loading the helicopter, the autopilot should always be off. It must be activated manually. If the problem persists, please upload the log file (log.txt in the X-Plane main folder) of the relevant flight so that we can understand what is happening.

From my own experience: The force trim button works differently with AP on and off. My muscle memory is having a tough time adjusting to the different modes.

With AP on, pressing the force trim button allows manual flying with the cyclic. Doing the same with AP off usually results in a crash. With the AP off the force trim button - in the sim - is to return the stick to the center position. Holding the button with the AP off for more than a second and deflecting the cyclic causes the heli to become uncontrollable.

Thanks RotorSim and J.K!
Yeah I had another go and realised I had my AP light inverted ( a remnant of flying other choppers the last few months!). Guess I've totally forgotten how the 135!
The AP was ON when I thought it was OFF. Which was probably trying to slow me down by tilting up, even though I was pushing the cyclic all the way forward.

BUT - I'm finding the 135 very shaky a low speeds. ie. when I cyclic left during a landing, the 135 stutters rather than a smooth tilt. I'll try to get a video

The most common cause of this behavior is too large control deflection. As in reality, the helicopter reacts to control inputs in the millimeter range, and it does so very quickly. The rigid rotor head leads to significantly more aggressive reactions than a classic rotor head. In addition, there is a relatively strong artificial stability system. In the simulation, where movements are shown in frames and not analog, this shaky impression arises.

It is also possible that the number of flight model calculations per frame is set too low.
