Force Trim Release (FTR) not working
1 Jahr 6 Monate her
'I was hoping you could help. I assign the FTR in Xplane12 to one of my cyclic buttons and it doesn't seem to do anything. The button is registering when I press it (in Xplane settings), I assign FTR to it but when I press-and-hold it the cyclic continues to move so I cannot re-center my controls. I'm currently using the HeliTrim plugin but would rather use your native FTR if possible.

You probably have the autopilot on? Then FTR works differently.

Hello,
I've got a similar issue. With the autopilot OFF, I move the stick to (for example) fully forward. Then I press the FTR and hold it pressed while I move the stick back to its center-position and release FTR.
That's what I think I should do when looking at manual/youtube.
But for me, the cyclic in the cockpit then slowly starts moving back to center.
Also, if I follow the manual with AP OFF (Press and hold FTR, move stick, release FTR, move stick to center) the cyclic in the cockpit to the requested position in slow-motion.
Trying to understand the system because I really want to fly this helicopter. I tried adding a small deadzone to pitch and roll but that didn't help. Checked my joystick buttons with the tester-software and they all work. No spikes on the axis either. It's a Virpil Mongoos stickbase.
Thank you

I'm sure the autopilot is ON and not OFF. Only when the AP is active are the servos on that move the stick.

Hi,
thank you for the reply. I will doublecheck and try and record it. It shouldn't matter if I do this while the aircraft is still on the ground, right ?

Okay, video is up.
The AP OFF-light is visible.
First part : stick is centered, I press and hold FTR and move the stick fully forward. You'll see the cyclic follow in slow motion. As soon as I release FTR the and center the stick, the cyclic immediatly centers also.
Second part : I move the stick fully forward and then press and hold FTR. When I move the stick to the center the cyclic returns to the center in slow motion.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is.
Regards
