Requests : Engine Health (12.3.0) and Search Light switch

Hello,

xPlane 12.3.0 introduces engine health settings which allows for per engine TRQ-TOT-NG differences and makes the experience a bit more realistic.
It can be found in PlaneMaker under "Engine Specs - Location". I tried to play with it but it looks like the FADEC doesn't match TRQ which might be not simulated in the current version. Do you think this feature could be added ?

Would it be possible to get the correct behaviour of the search light switch corresponding to the collective lever of the 3D Model :
ON - OFF - RETR (After placing the spring–loaded switch to the RETR position the light extinguishes and retracts into the fuselage). Therefore, the retractable LDG light would maintain the position where it has been left when switched off and not retracted (unless pilot has hit and released the RETR position).

Kind regards :)

Am I understanding correctly? I'm supposed to deliberately manipulate the engines' performance, only to then laboriously program the FADEC to compensate for it?

Think about it! This has nothing to do with my understanding of a bit more realistic experience.

You're not understanding this correctly then. It would allow to have different TOT, N1, OIL P and T when TRQ is matched between both engines making powerchecks more relevant. Right know all engine parameters are the same across both engines which is unrealistic.

I'm understanding perfectly well. But I think it's complete nonsense.

What's the plus in relevance for a power check if it always leads to the same result? With the settings in X-Plane, I don't let a turbine age over time. I preset different ageing stages for one engine and the other.

If I seriously want to train to do my checks properly, the instructor has to introduce an unexpected difference. But delivering a helicopter with the same error over and over again – that's definitely not going to happen.

By the way, here's a picture from a few days ago from a not-so-fresh real P2+. Note the lack of differences between the two engines. So much for "unrealistic."

Turbine could age over time with number of hours and cycles but I guess it's not a very important feature. Do you have an ETA for the next update ?
