EC 135 V5 + Xplane 12.3 Engine 2 Shuts Down
2 Wochen 2 Tage her
When starting xplane 12.3 with customize option "Start with engines running" engine 2 shuts down. It appears the engine is running when
the screen first intializes but then shuts down. Shift Ctrl E and the short version for starting work fine. I have uninstalled and re-down loaded and re-installed. Same behavior.
Congrats to your developers..this is a superb flying machine.

Please check the following:
If that doesn't help, I need the X-Plane log file (log.txt) from a flight where the problem occurred, as well as a detailed description of the exact sequence of events and which cautions and warnings are displayed.
- Are there any settings in X-Plane's failure tab that could be causing the shutdown?
- Disable all add-ons that are not part of the original X-Plane software and test again. Sometimes add-ons interfere where they shouldn't.

This problem has been solved. There were no xplane failures enabled and disabling all add-ons had no effect. What did work was clearing my Throttle mappings in the profile and starting over from scratch.
I am sorry to say I don't know exactly what mapping was causing the problem but Starting with engines running is now working. Hoorah

I'm glad the problem is solved. And thanks for posting. This might help others who have a similar issue.
I can't say for sure how the problem arose. But here's the thing about the throttles: Throttle 1 and Throttle 2 are used for optional manual engine control. There's a control range and a range used for manually shutting down the engines. If you want to use this feature, the corresponding controls in the aircraft need to be calibrated.
I imagine the error occurs when the controls are mapped in the joystick settings but not calibrated in the helicopter. In the worst-case scenario, the shutdown value is then randomly applied. We do take control of the throttles, but I suspect the engine is already being shut down before we gain control from X-Plane.
